Hi,

I am wondering if anyone can help me out that knows php better than I do!

I have been using XOOPS to run http://www.sermonindex.net for alittle while now. I have been using the 'downloads module' to display over 1500 audio sermons. It is working well so far! hehe.

I am wondering if anyone knows how to make the following hacks?

1. code to be placed somewhere on the page to show the total number of downloads to date?

2. to be able to add comments to a download file?

3. to be able to get rid of the 'version' text from showing in each download file section?

thanks in advance.

2. That would be a serious hack and I doubt anyone would wanne make it for you since this feature exists in XOOPS 2. So upgrade to XOOPS 2

Would anyone be willing to help me out? I am hesitant to upgrade to XOOPS 2 cause I have done so many small hacks and changes to the XOOPS 1.3 code! Do you think it would complicate things? can I still have the old look for the forums, etc? let me know.

I would be willing to pay someone a small fee if they helped me with the hack for the comments for downloads.

Another quick question: Is it just me that wants to stay with XOOPS 1.3 I find it complicated and hard to upgrade sometimes. any input would be great!

I just installed another site with XOOPS 1.3 - http://www.wheatonrevival.com

comments and rebukes are coveted! :) keep up the good work XOOPS team!
