Hum ... strange ...

after a pair of unsuccessfully try , I decidet to do "tabula rasa" and restart.

A website with a fresh xoops 2.5.6 release and a second one with 2.5.7.1 .... once installed everything ( core and modules only in english under a friend suggestion ) I imported the whole old DB with the 3.08 version of forum DB.

In both cases all runs perfectly. Also modules just not "modern" ....

Could be this the secret? Some languages problems ?

thanks for your answer.

Really I did the opposite

... I installed NewBB 4.3 ( irmtfan way ) and I import CBB 3.08 Db.

No errors durning import and the system seems running well, but ...

I noted this pair of problems :

1) Block "last replied topics" is ok in administration page, but is not visible in the public website.
2) When I click on "Go to post" icon ( the doubled arrow ) I obtain a blank page ( I mean the content , not the whole web page, like in previuos point ).

Any suggestions ?

Hello there,

just a simple question :

I have some websites build using xoops ( 2.5.5 and 2.5.6 ) I have already used NewBB 4.3 in one of those with only a little bug in user preferences settings.

Now I would to try Xoops 2.5.7.1 with NewBB 4.3 ... the question is : can I import a database from a CBB 3.08 version ?
I read it should be possible to upgrade from a old CBB/NewBB version , so it should be possible to import database ...

Very very strange ...

I have a private server where php 5.2.17 is running.

X 2.5.5 and 2.5.6 are perfectly running

www.virtualmedcup.it
www.vmrt.eu
www.vskitalia.com

today I installed x 2.5.7 and then 2.5.6 in a server where php 5.2.14 is runnng.
-website regularly installed.
-home page online
-login/logout running
-administration panel available

Blank page on view account and modify account ; same for added modules.

but

from admin panel I cannot reach several pages ( like blocks and groups ) and I cannot reach preferences pages.

I opened modules/system/admin.php and I see just -blocks - groups - modules - preferences - templates , seems not active; even if I can handle modules ( install, uninstall, update ..)

Any idea ???

Ciao mamba,

1) Yes it is. With previous version of this file I see ALL the downloads ( for the moment 10 ) with the version in 1.3 only one.

2) Since it is the "search" section ... wich kind of search section is if it doesn't search ???

I mean if I select a"name" or a part of a name and a Category, the system should point at the related files ... or I misunderstood ?

3) Mhhhh I will check this ...

4) hahaha it is not very important ... at the end also a newbie like me was able to understand

Updated module to 1.63 beta

Now users ( and admin ) can upload Gbx files too. ASAP I will check if 'max file size' setting is running well.

I saw a couple of problems in "search.php"

1) in 1.63 version listing doesn't work ( I saw only an item ) ; I overwrited with old 1.62 of search.php and the list come back complete.

2) in both version the "onchange" functions of search don't work

A couple of suggestions (maybe I could have others, but I just start to use the module) :

a) I would see appropriate to give a "done" page to user if download uploading is regularly gone at end ( now the system just return to download main page ).
Something like : "thanks for your download submission, as soon as possible, the admins will approve your document"

b) Maybe the withe cross on red beckground is not the more appropriate button for "approve" function ...

FOUND !

as you told I don't need (\) character before Character (") or (').

And block works with this structure :

Idon't think this is the problem ...

the problem is the php script is not executed ...

a further strange thing : online with this script has no effects ... no blocks are shown , nor right nor wrong ...

In the "preview" mode of block building , the php script is print as text and the "iframe" works ...

all php code is printed as text ... then the block execute everithing executable as HTML.

This is the real code I need ( and works in php custom block of 2.0.18 )
