Just started with this stuff myself.
But from what I found, your server is not properly setup.
Are you using apache?

If your server is properly set, when you attempt to access your web page for the first time, XOOPS will run you through a small installation questioniare.

I'm lost _ Send Mail

I cannot seem to get emails out through xoops.
I have been searching for a full day about sendmail.

Is sendmail a stand alone mailing program?
Do I need to open ports for it?

All mail functions say that the mail has been sent but nothing is ever recieved.

I am running PHPTriad on WinXP.




Ok, I have gotten a module of PHPBB that I sucessfully installed. And it is sending me notification emails.
So apparently it is a problem with XOOPS and not the sendmail funcion.

I would like to change the text in the user menu.
ie "View Account" to "My Account"
But I can't seem to find what file the actual text is located in.
Can anyone help me?
