WordPress gives you access to using lots themes and thousands of plugins that will work under the XOOPS integration so your blog can look like it is the BBC or the New York Times, advertisements, or even the Dutch Marijuana Cafe Gazette

You are right, for a solely blogging site WP is the cms to choose. But integrating another cms as a module in xoops has a downside: will it support future WP updates? Is this module still compatible after a xoops core update? Will the module developer update this module till the end of times? Personally I would take a xoops module when adding a blog to an existing xoops website, it maybe less fancy but is more future proof I guess.

xPressMe can be found here. It's a Japanese site but the download links can be identified

But apart from that... What's wrong with using the regular xoops news module for blogging?

As you already are using the mymenus module, why not use this module to make a second menu called downloads? Only disadvantage is you have to copy and paste the links by hand. Big advantage is you can order the links like you want it.

In some themes there can be differences in left and right blocks layout, but with a little test you can find out.

I guess you use this version? It looks pretty up to date, although it's not clear it is compatible with current xoops.http://linux2.ohwada.net/modules/wfdownloads/singlefile.php?cid=1&lid=50

Can you give us some debug info?

Please could you provide us with following information:

- Xoops version used
- Exact module name and version
- PHP version on the webhost

And also: did the module work before and did it stop functioning or is it a new install?

Are you sure all permissions are set? I experienced setting permissions right can be a pain in the ass after moving newbb as there are many of them!

What is it you want exactly. A google translate clone or a script translating your website to Spanish?

Normally Rodney does write a lot without coming to a point, but in this case he has one ( a point...), together with xoobaru.

Sharing your ideas and early module setups with a little in-crowd before launching them could help you to prevent angry reactions. I am not a coder as you know, but you always can ask me to test modules and report bugs.

I know and respect that you have your problems. You are like van Gogh, the painter, brilliant but one needs a faq on how to deal with I respect you as a coder but please try to keep focus Simon, reading feedback from xoopsers testing your modules is crucial.
