Got the information where you suggested, thanks I knew I read it somewhere before. Copied and pasted your script in the appropriate spot but it did not change "News" modules editor. Still has xoopseditor as active editor. Is there something else I need to update?

Checked the facs and did a search and couldn't find the exact answer I need. Although, I swear I did read it somewhere before! I have installed kolvi where recommended (inside class folder). I am using the current install of Xoops. I am using a combination of the news, smartsections, Multimenu to create content in my site. Smartsections has a selection button but news does not. I remember reading something about changing xoopsform"something".php but I can't find the documentation. Can someone point me in the correct direction.

Also I would like to change the width of the type-in area of kolvi to make it a little wider. Is this possible? If so, where and how?

Thanks for all the replies but a disaster occurred recently that caused me to have to re-install not only XOOPS and the corresponding modules I was using but also the database from scratch. So, all the past information will have to be added, AGAIN, I now have XOOPS installed after "htdocs" so now it's www.mysite/htdocs/index.php. I will use the re-directs so I don't loose search engine and bookmark functionality. The problem occurred when trying to get the poll module to work. Removal and re-installation of that module broke the smartsection module beyond my ability to repair it. Now everything functions as it should. Thanks for everybody's suggestion. This is why I chose XOOPS over other CMS's. Support!

That's what I thought. I've used smartsections and multimenu to build my pages and links and I believe they ALL saved the pages created in the database ashttp://www.site.com/xoops/html/module/smartscetion.....etc. All my links will have to be changed.
Which seems hugely time consuming for me to adjust in the database. Maybe not?
Maybe easier just to put a redirect in the header of the main index page and leave it at that. Not being paid for all this work.

I was hoping to move it to "www.site.com/index.php. Is this possible?

Have built a site for my son's swim team and converting the site to Xoops. So, right now the site exists as static pages with XOOPS as just a folder inside the site "www.site.com/xoops/html/". Did this so original site would not be disturbed. We are in the process of moving to XOOPS permanently. Can I drag everything out of the Xoops's html folder and over-write existing site? Will I break the XOOPS site? Or should I just use a redirect script in the original Index page?

That's great! I just read all 15 pages of posts and am very excited. I currently use smartsections and find it a very competent module, well thought out and easy to use. I can't wait to use their smartmail module, as long as I can import or preferable, reuse the database of users from my phplist. I just don't have the heart to ask my users to re-sign up for again.

They have this module for joomla now that allows you to integrate phplist into joomla without disturbing the databases of either program. I tried wraps but couldn't even get it to install on 2.015. I am still looking for this integration solution. Could someone look at the joomla code and maybe rewrite it for xoops? I'm no good at php so I'm no help.

Wraps module makes all uninstalled modules dissapear.

Xoops 2.015 and am trying to get the wraps module installed. Followed instruction on installation to the letter. When installing the module and logging into module admin, ALL uninstalled (but uploaded) modules (including wraps module) dissapear from view. No problem with the installed modules. When removing wraps module, other modules reappear. Is this wierd or what. How to fix. I tried adding the hacks GIJOE suggested in other forums but nothing seems to work.

Well, followed all instructions I found from the linked pages from people's answers. Installed module as instructed, updated class/smarty/...as suggested byhttp://www.peak.ne.jp/xoops/md/news/index.php?page=article&storyid=354 But, when installing wrap module causes all other non-activated modules to dissapear as well as the wraps module not showing up either. When I un-install the wrap module, the other uploaded but not activated modules show up again. Tried removing/renaming the .htacess.rewrite file. No change! Tried renaming wraps to something else, no luck. Why would the wraps module cause this reaction in the module form page and how do I fix this so I can use the module.This is a very important module for me and would like to get it functioning soon.
