I recently upgraded from 2.0.13 to 2.2.3a Final. Before upgrading, I was able to make changes to html files, saving them to the server, then seeing those changes appear on a browser reload. Now, I cant get any changes to appear in my html files. Do I need to set a caching variable somewhere? I am using a custom module?
When making changes to files, you should clear your browsers cache if any images are changed in the code. From the xoops point of view, assuming templates have been generated, you should delete all files (except index) in templates_c folder also.

Also check in preferences that caching is turned off for the module files you have edited. This may be true for some blocks as well.

 editing mail templates

Hi,

I am editing register.tpl in languages/english/mail templates

-I have deleted all files in template_C
-module cache is turned off

The chnages are not taking into effect. Is there any other place which I have to edit?

Now I am using 2.2.3 with extended profile module.
It was very easy in 2.0.13. I did once and it worked?

How diferent is 2.2.3
