What is the basic structure of a xoops website?
A xoops website is created around a basic installation consisting of a simple plain page with a banner and a login block. The initial login allows site creators,(admins) to access a private administration section where all the site settings, customisation, module and theme installations take place. This is colectively known as the core installation. This is not an out-of-the-box website. You need to construct your site by adding modules, blocks, themes and settings. These are all totally intergrated seamlessly into the core installation. For a visual view of this please download A Visual Introduction to Xoops

Did you know ?

A large number of XOOPS sites that are hacked are because the owner failed to set the correct file system permissions on critical XOOPS files and folders.

Random question

What are breadcrumbs? I did a search and someone (I think solio) posted a small defintion which is fine. But what are they really in relation to xoops, how used, what real purpose (advantage and or disadvantage) do they have? Are they necessary, a good idea to actually use them with xoops? Why or why not?
