After downloading a new theme, what files should be uploaded to the server?
Usually when you download a theme it is packaged in zip format. You first have to unzip the theme then locate the proper folder to upload to the server.

This flash tutorial shows the basic method of extracting the zip file and locating the proper folder to upload.
