How can I be notified when someone replies to my message in the forum?
When posting a message in the forum, you can be notified when other people reply to your message. There is several ways to do it but the easiest one is checking the Notify me of new posts in this thread checkbox at the end of the message form: 
Notification of new posts If this is checked, when someone post a message in this topic, you will automatically be notified by email or by private message, depending on you profile settings.
