XOOPS powers Libyan Ministry of Defense Website
The Ministry of Defense of Libya got a new website, and it's done in XOOPS! 
This is thanks to the hard work of Mowaffaq from www.arabxoops.com, who is tirelessly promoting XOOPS in the Arabic-speaking nations.
XOOPS was compared to several other CMS solutions, and after the tests the Ministry of Defense has made the decision to go with XOOPS.
This new Website is using Publisher, extCal, XoopsPoll, MyTube and several other modules.
We are very proud of the achievement and would like to congratulate Mowaffaq and his team for this success.

EPICentre.TV - Live Boxing Actions done in XOOPS

EPICentre is a fully fledged TV Station done in XOOPS 2.5. It has been developed over the last several months carefully between fibredyne and chronolabs. Some of the Open Source modules we have been releasing over the last several months have been components of EPICentre which does also have some priopriatry code layers as well.
Utilizing the 4 years of RND by Robert Nathan of Fibredyne Pty Ltd and the skill of modular design by Simon Roberts (wishcraft) from XOOPS and Chronolabs Co-op. EPICentre has been honed to a finite perfect solution to presenting Live Sports namely fighting events to the community.
There is still more to come we coupled with www.4mation.com.au to design a Call Out system that is still in development that allows for the end client of the site to make fight call outs, vote on existing call outs, and so on just like YouTube, utilizing Flash and Wowza 3.x media services. This will eventually allow the client with a webcam to challenge other end clients (fighters) to a show down in the ring, where people can vote for the ones they want to see and if successful the fight goes ahead.
The Media Delievery and production of events is done by the Fibredyne Team. They produce 720p and 1080p IPTV Live streams and transcode live to Apple OS like your iPhone or iPad, Andriod and other mobile platforms. The site also supports seated and online ticketing of fights to view and watch from home or on the go or even at the event for commentry on the fight. The sports system is tied into a massive application called VS. This will never be released as it is priopriatry to the site and business, that allows for live scoring, events, fights, assets, managers, trainers, gyms, companies and a whole lot more to be group into the fights topology as well as controlling camera and event information like tickets amoungst other things it functions and control the wrap on the live sport with VS Module.

Swayamsat.org design updated, Feedback needed...

1. 3 instances of publisher (hacked to use common js, css files for all the clones)
2. Extgallery
3. Xoopsfaq (Having some issues with not being able to display categories based on weight)
4. Replaced Pical with APCal (Thank you DEDALE for all the updates to this module)
5. xForms
Also added the wibiya toolbar to the website.
I am not that good with color combinations, so kindly suggest if there is something that I can change to make the site more pleasing to eyes and easier to use.
The next on my todo list is to replace discuss with facebook comments on the blog section.

MyKerkyra.gr updated and optimized
There has been an update on my site mykerkyra.gr. The update involves aesthetical as well as optimization improvements.
Most of the modules of the site are heavily hacked to serve my needs regarding their look and feel and the php code is altered to improve stability, usability and optimize the database queries. The rest are custom made modules made from scratch.
To my surprise optimizing the catads modules as well as smartsection saved my up to 30 db queries in the front page! And there is room for more..
The site also uses my hacked version of backend.php for centralized rss feeds. No other core files have been altered.
Moreover I used URL rewriting for most modules.
There are still lots of improvements to be made but since its usable right now and in a fair level I decided to publish it as it is and keep working on it in my own time. The sure thing is that this one is better than the previous version.
Unfortunately the site is only in Greek right now but you can get the general idea. I hope you like it

How to Listen to Torque radio:
Torque Radio broadcasts live shows held each Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday night at our Qld studio from 6:30pm AEST.
To listen in, firstly, you will need to be registered to listen to Torque Radio music and/or interviews. Registration is completely free and takes less then 5 minutes. You will notice a 'Listen to Torque Radio' block on the top left hand side of the website. Simply click the 'listen now' link and your audio will begin to play. If you would like to use your own media player, simply click an alternative link located below the listen link. If you would like to listen on your IPHONE, simply click on the iphone listen link. This will enable you to listen live on your IPHONE. Android users will be able to listen directly from the Torque Radio website. Happy listening!

Newly rebranded and launched Torque Radio has partnered with Harrington Doyle Racing to bring local Karting content to more online radio listeners around the world in 2012.
TorqueRadio.com is the brainchild of Steve Hellyer, a long time motorsport enthusiast and trade qualified electronics engineer. Steve set out with a long term ambition to establish a radio station devoted to motorsport enthusiasts.
The studio quality broadcasts from the station’s Brisbane premises, as well as remote trackside locations have established this well known media product and brand amongst the drag racing and drifting communities. Torque Radio brings together various internet technologies to enhance their website presence, product and brand to keep audiences growing at a rate of up to 150% per month.
In 2012 Torque Radio has partnered with Harrington Doyle Racing in a deliberate attempt to grow their content in the area of local Karting and junior motorcycling. In exchange for regular online Team interviews, seasonal progress segments and a possible experimental trackside broadcast at the Ipswich CIK Stars of Karting round, HDR drivers will wear and promote the Torque Radio brand on their white race helmets throughout the 2012 season.
