Xasset 0.65 Released

I am pleased to announce another beta release of xasset. This release addresses several issues:

1. Add extra support for various tax configurations to support more complex setups.
2. Lots of code cleanup in the paypal and shopping cart code.
3. Several bug fixes.
4. Several new bugs
5. Updated documentation.

I was contacted by a gentleman I knew of, Francis Goodwin, to create a site for him. Francis(or Tace, as he is known) is a veteran of the news business, formerly with UPI. He had tried a few website packages and was unable to really figure them out. He is not, at the core of things, geekishly inclined, but he is a quick learner. I looked at what he was considering(You know the ones. I don't need to name them here) and was not impressed with them, in comparison to the administrative ease of Xoops. So, in a matter of days(rapid deployment of the site was important), I had a site up and running for him.

vondewall.com

I have finally made the switch from PMachine to Xoops. The site is a personal family site about von Dewall and is all in Swedish. I have used the Aston Flower template set and adapted it.

On a personal note I must say that I am much impressed of the possibilites offered by Xoops! Still so many modules to explore
