Christian Information Portal switched from PHP-Nuke to XOOPS
Dear community of the XOOPS world! I am so glad to announce that Christian Information Portal (http://christ4you.org) that is a Russian project of Grace Gellowship Ukraine finally found the best resolution for secure portal system.
I am pleased to announce another beta release of xasset. This release addresses several issues:
1. Add extra support for various tax configurations to support more complex setups. 2. Lots of code cleanup in the paypal and shopping cart code. 3. Several bug fixes. 4. Several new bugs 5. Updated documentation.
Please refer to the xasset.chm under the doc directory for complete documentation.
We are proud to announce another site using XOOPS, Haun Phillips Tile, L.L.C. These folks are custom tile and stonework contractors. They were looking for ways to get a website up and running, show off their work, and maybe generate business!
did you ever hear of "Hommingberger Gepardenforelle"? No, you are right, it is just a combination of words which are used to have a seo contest. A german magazine called c't has published an article how to follow some search engine rules, ideas and methods.
The Graphics and Development Community Linesweb is happy to announce to you the opening of a site without claim, held by impassioned people of development and graphics, Linesweb.Xoops.
I was contacted by a gentleman I knew of, Francis Goodwin, to create a site for him. Francis(or Tace, as he is known) is a veteran of the news business, formerly with UPI. He had tried a few website packages and was unable to really figure them out. He is not, at the core of things, geekishly inclined, but he is a quick learner. I looked at what he was considering(You know the ones. I don't need to name them here) and was not impressed with them, in comparison to the administrative ease of Xoops. So, in a matter of days(rapid deployment of the site was important), I had a site up and running for him.
I have finally made the switch from PMachine to Xoops. The site is a personal family site about von Dewall and is all in Swedish. I have used the Aston Flower template set and adapted it.
On a personal note I must say that I am much impressed of the possibilites offered by Xoops! Still so many modules to explore
I have just created a flash tutorial that covers the upgrade process. I have seen a lot of questions in the forums and I hope this clarifies some things about the upgrade process. This does cover the Xoops 2.0.10 upgrade.
