What is xAsset?
Xasset is a Xoops module designed for digital media sales and distribution. Initially this was designed for shareware authors but the module architecture has been extended to selling and distributing any digital asset such as MP3 files, EXE files or PDF documents. Anything that can be downloaded can be managed from xAsset.
xAsset also enables selling group membership, ideal for selling subscriptions to premium online content. Members can be viewed along side their membership expiry details. Group membership has more features in the pipeline.
Main xAsset features include:
1.Payment Gateway integration via a plugin architecture. The Paypal payment gateway module is provided by default. Other payment modules can easily be developed. Please contact us for details and pricing.
2.Secure your digital assets by placing them outside the public_html folder thus preventing any direct link exploits. Xasset offers a sophisticated download control mechanism that allows you to specify how many times a file can be downloaded and until when. All downloads are logged against IP address which makes it possible to track users who are sharing their login details.
3.Users cannot download files unless logged into your site thus eliminating more direct linking exploits.
4.Products that can be sold via xasset include digital media (files), services and group membership. Xasset provides an automatic mechanism of adding the client to any Xoops user group, giving you an easy way to control premium membership access for example.

My Tidy Version of Shoutbox 3.2.1
Ok I am on my spring cleaning MISSION again, and going through modules with W3C.
Well I downloaded; ShoutBox 3.2 as I have been getting spammers on 3.1; and it also needed fixing.
So all thanks goes to Jan, all I have done is used Tidy with FireFox to fix the errors, in the ShoutBox module.
During the process…… things went slightly wrong…… with the experiment……. and a little of me got in,……………
I was…..just going to just fix the errors and send them back to Jan to release……
You can have a Look Here , what happened with the popup!!!
Basically whilst fixing the errors, it all went upside down, now the text input bar, is at the top, (o0(I like it) as the new posts are displayed scrolling downwards anyway, not upwards as most chat messenger systems, do).
I thought I would release it, as it is almost totally different in how it looks now, and then we can move on, with it being a Tidy checked version o0(I like having green ticks when W3C, is Tidy).
Thanks again, to Jan as it is his module, not mine.
Please don’t ask me about PHP, as I am only learning, all I did is fix the templates and it turned into a TaZZZmanian MONSTER SHOUT BOX!
Also here is a xoopscodes.php for 2.0.13.2, as it had a few small errors within the code, for smilies and the more buttons. This applies to even Xoops.org, yet the newer versions of Xoops have been fixed.

GhettoNET Portal
Being a poor college student, I decided to create a web portal with Xoops and incorporate Google Adsense to try and make a little (probably very little) extra money for school. Thanks to Xoops it was fairly easy and doesn't look too bad (I think).
I used the movie times, cartoons, weblinks, and cafepress modules. I also tried to keep it simple, a lot of the big portals seem cluttered and complicated to when all I want to do is catch some quick news.
I hope people like it and find it useful, and maybe (probably not) make a few dollars for books.
