From Hispaxoops & Celseven, we launch a little hack to help users with cache files deletion.

It´s a code implementation over Xoops called xDelCache, it deletes smarty_compile folder content & create an index.html file again.

If you need a fast way to delete it, we think this one more right way to do.

Many thanks to Celseven & hope all community could find useful this hack (maybe will be implemented on a future versions of Xoops?).

Great , now i can finaly clear my cache without ftp access .

Only one question where can i find it?

2. Abre el archivo main.php que está en modules/system/admin/preferences/ y en la línea 56, despues del } o en una nueva línea, añades esto :

3. Creamos los archivos de idioma. Vamos a modules/system/languague/spanish/ y creamos un archivo de nombre delcache_mod.php y ponemos dentro lo siguiente :

4.Subimos los archivos nuevos y el modificado. Ahora, al ir a preferencias veremos la modificación.

There is a module XOOPS Tools from China to do the same thing. I don't have the link handy, but once I find it, I'll post it here...

With this hack, not a module, you´ll find a direct link in Preferences who makes your life more easy with Xoops.

You could download a package from Hispaxoops & use under any XOOPS sites on English & Spanish (both langs supp).

There is also the module XOOPScare, which has a function to do this.

It seems you have to register and log in for downloading.

I don't believe this is in accordance to the general guidelines for publicising open source progragrams on XOOPS.org

Some notes about the code:
- Only the folders /caches/smarty_cache/ and /caches/smarty_compile/ are cleared.
- index.html is erased and recreated. I think it is better to simply skip erasure.
- if these two folders contain subfolders, then they are erased completly. I don't know if that is wise.

The xoops_cache contains adminmenu's cache. If you delete it when you are in mid of administration, makes error.

All the caches may be deleted to refresh cache. It's my opinion.

xDelCache 1.0 is not working for me?
My xoops_data and xoops_lib are outside XOOPS_ROOT folder.
XOOPS Version 2.3.3
