About

Picito is a simple Xoops module that gives a functionality similar to ImageShack to your Xoops powered website. Your users can use this module to upload pictures to your website. Thumbnail is created on-the-fly and you get direct link, BBCode for forums and HTML Code for websites.

What's new in 1.3 ?

- new templates (front + admin)
- user can resize a picture
- user can add a description of the picture
- administrator can set maximum file size
- administrator can set maximum thumbnail size
- administrator can set watermark with custom text on the images
- code cleanup
- ...

Him great module but i have a problem on Admin side.

It show nothing...

User side work.

i use XOOPS 2.0.16 php 4.x

Try to open modules/picito/include/saver.php and add this code just after

I'd like to see the html/BBcode/imagelink and description of the picture below the picture within the admin area.
At this moment only the picture is showing up, but I cannot see the correct linkcodes. I think this is nescesary if the user has entered the wrong link and I as admin can edit his/hers post.

Second I would like to see an overview (with pagination) on the userside of the uploaded pictures (with the html/bbcode/image link code and description. This would give the user an second possibility to check if his entered link is correct during posting an article or whatever.

Last but not least: Great module!

I agree with Shine, on these points.Plus, if you could upload more than one image at a time, this would be very helpful.

Again, thanks for contributing this module. It is in fact very useful in many ways.

when I UPLOAD image file,XOOPS show:
NAPAKA [08.w]: Tekst je predolg!
and then picito module show nothing! why?

my server info:
# Apache Web Server Version 2.0.59
# PHP Script Language Version 4.4.5

Very sympathetic module and rendering services for the people pressed like me.
However, I notice that we do not have description (title) in the image.
I carried out the translation of this module, the file is here.
In addition, I added in my FAQ the modifications necessary for a use with scripts "ajax" : lightbox, thickbox and greybox - package “jseffects” necessary.

It means that you have set a watermark text that is too long for the picture.

Nice Module at all

I translate the module to german and add one more language defninition so all is now translated.

I was looking forward to checking this module out, Sophie2, but I can not upload from the user side, and I don't believe I get errors; it just doesn't do anything.
On the admin side, my settings do not get saved.
Errors:

 Warning: fopen(/modules/picito/include/settings.txt) [function.fopen]: failed to open stream: Permission denied in file /modules/picito/admin/settings_update.php line 12

What changes should I make?

This file has to be writable by the server.

This is not what this module is made for. Check gallery modules instead.

Trying to delete the module after deactivating and uninstalling, I found it impossible to delete the folder: public/uploads/picito and the thumbs folder within it. Ftp and cpanel both disallow us from deleting these folders or altering their attributes/permissions.

I had to write my own php script in order to gain the right to delete these folders.

Sophie2, you may want to change that or at least include instructions for us noobs to follow, in your readme.txt file, on how to delete these directories. ?

For others like me, this is what I had to do:
In uploads folder, insert a file "test123.php" (you can name it whatever you wish). Code in the file:

 chmod (picito, 0777); 
?>

Then, point browser to yoursite/uploads/test123.php, which runs the script. You will then have full permissions to the folder.

You also need to place another "test456.php" into the uploads/picito directory to be able to remove the thumbs subfolder. Code:

 chmod (thumbs, 0777); 
?>

Point browser to yousite/uploads/picito/test456.php to run the script.
Now, you'll be able to change permissions on these folders and delete if you want.

*Maybe I did something to screw up the permissions and lose access, but just in case someone else has that problem...

Great Module, I have been looking for one like this for ages. But I have a problem. The module works, but when I go to upload an image it just brings up a blank page?
Please help as I would love to use this module.

In "settings" whenever I try to change a setting, hit "save" nothing happens, it goes back to the default. help, I don't want "watermark" on the pics
