The English language files aren't complete. I know what rechercher, copier, uploader, and Editer mean, but what does deplacer and supprimer mean? Sorry, too lazy to google right now, and their translations aren't too good anyway.
Is there a plan to add file-type restrictions? They way it looks now, I have a feeling that anyone who registers to the site can upload any kind of file they want if they have upload permissions.
Also, is it possible to have an option to store/upload files outside of the XOOPS root? And is there a file upload approval system, or are all uploaded files automatically approved?

i think its a rather good module as a temporary solution when ftp server is down.

a good file manager was missing in XOOPS production..
could be useful to have:
- an easy duplication (for using with different categories...)
- a note in admin index for maxuploadsize and max_timeout settings for php
