XOOPS: XOOPS First Runner Up in sf.net Community Choice Awards!

Thanks to your massive support the XOOPS project was voted first runner up in the Sourceforge.net Community Choice Awards for the Development category! Gaim, the popular open source multimessenger, recieved the most votes and won the Development category.

Being first runner up in this contest is an acknowlegdement of the contributions everyone in this community has made. It shows that we are a strong and thriving community, one we can be proud to be members of.

This is a boost for morale, and hopefully will put the XOOPS project and its comunity in a well deserved spotlight!

Congratulations everyone!

Few told me that XOOPS is not a good cms compare to others. Buuuuuttttttt I didn't believe them ! I vote for XOOPS ! I will stick to XOOPS no matter what they say ! Congratulations !

I've tested quite a few CMSes out there but can't go beyond testing. XOOPS is still the #1 choice for me.

Just a question about the promotion of XOOPS :
Why internet site likehttp://www.cmsmatrix.org are such out of date about XOOPS (last update 4/16/2004 !!!!)?

Nobody is handling this ?

Having a good CMS (the best one indeed ) is important, but the more people use it, bigger the community is, stronger we are...

Am I wrong?

Let me tell you a story. I webmaster a site at www.treckusa.com We follow the journey of two young people as they hike the American Discovery Trail across the USA. Each day they provide two updates to the website, via PDA, from the Wilderness. This includes scientific and geographic information.

Also teachers update the site each day and hundreds of students from all over the USA use and update the site.

I do my webmaster duties from Sydney, Australia. The total monthly bill is less than $10, including webhosting.

We can do for ten bucks a month what most companies would spend hundreds or thousands per month on.

Xoops is fantastic, the community is fantastic, the developers (core and module) are fantastic!

Xoops is the real prize, and we are all winners!

What can I add to all the praise?, Every one was accurate to explain the pride of being a part of the XOOPS community, indeed well deserved for xoops.
What is going beyond the superb features and technical stuff of the CMS, is that unique sense of community that deserve an award..!
