With the release of 2.0.9, XOOPS has reached yet another milestone: Bug #200 has been closed!

There are still quite a number of bugs listed, but not all are equally critical and not all are confirmed, but with 200 bugs closed, nobody can claim that XOOPS development has stagnated.

It may not be all that apparent to all how much work is going on behind the scenes, but Skalpa is hard at work on XOOPS 2.1 - a development version with a completely new architecture aimed at developers. This version will evolve into XOOPS 2.2, the first official and open version with the new architecture.

In the meantime, it is great to have someone like Onokazu, who can keep the focus on the current version so while some of us develop the system for tomorrow, the users of today are not forgotten and therefore a big thank you goes out from me to both Skalpa and Onokazu for the work, you two do for the benefit of the XOOPS community.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all
