Hello,

My site uses PHP-Nuke for one reason and one reason only: a chat module (called ClearChat) that is superior to anything out there. If not for that module, my forums would not be based on Nuke.

Each year, around this time, I look for ways to get away from Nuke but not lose the features that this chat module gives me and my customers. Each year, I come up empty. Other chat systems just don't give me the controls I require as administrator and give my customers the features that they crave.

The developer of ClearChat has long since stopped working on it (it was perfect, except for needing Nuke). PHP-Nuke itself is basically dead too. My web host provider is not happy that I'm using such old code and are getting ready to drop support.

My question here is this: Does XOOPs support modules that were written for PHP-Nuke?

Thank you,

Where can you download it?
Support XOOPS => DONATE
Use 2.5.11 | Docs | Modules | Bugs

Re: Transfer from PHP-Nuke

If the chat is most important part of your PHP-Nuke site, contact the Comet Chat developers (https://www.cometchat.com/) regarding migration of the content, then you can simply install XOOPS, start the content writing from scratch and integrate Comet Chat inside XOOPS.

ClearChat 1.0 for Nuke (yack... should clean my hard drives someday)
