extCal is an event/calendar module developed exclusively for XOOPS.

The version extCal 2.37 Final is now released for XOOPS 2.5.6. It's been tested on PHP 5.4.17.

Changelog:

- small changes for PHP 5.4
- fixed: removed today's events from "upcoming events" block

I kind of maintain it, and fix bugs, as with several of the modules in the upcoming Basic Module Pack. But there are other people helping as well, so it's always the best to check the Changelog to see who is doing what. Normally the first name is for the person who reported the bug, and then the person who fixed that.

Originally I was adding all the contributors to the "Authors", but currently we keep the original author, and add people to credits. So in the next release I'll remove the other names and place them in the credits.txt file, so we can keep all modules consistent.

Yeah, we miss Zoullou - the last time I was communicating with him, he was going to work on a new version, but I didn't hear from him for a long time.

In the month view, day names are given in English. This cannot be changed. I don't know from what source English day names are derived, they are not derived from Extcal- or Xoops language files. So, I cannot get them translated.

Can this be corrected ? I.e. day names derived form Extcal or Xoops language files ??

When I try to print an event, I get a fatal error:

Fatal error: Call to a member function getVars() on a non-object in C:/wamp/www/public_html/modules/extcal/class/ExtcalPersistableObjectHandler.php on line 534


Any idea about the cause and the solution ?

I just upgraded to this new version on my site and the top of my calendars for the following fields:

/modules/extcal/calendar-month.php
/modules/extcal/calendar-week.php
/modules/extcal/year.php
/modules/extcal/month.php
/modules/extcal/week.php
/modules/extcal/day.php

These all show the following error when clicked upon:


A problem has occurred on our server!
Page is currently unavailable

We are working on a fix
Please come back soon ...

Error : Handler does not exist
Module: extcal
Name: Events


Whats up with this?

I don't know how many time have we asked again and again:

Please provide with every bug report:

- your current XOOPS version
- your PHP version
- if it was a fresh installation of the module, or update. If update, from which module version have you updated.
- any debug messages (please turn the Debug on)

You might have provided in some other post, but we might not have seen it.

It will make support for us much easier

Sorry, but this is the first time you've stated that to me and noted. See my responses below:

your current XOOPS version = 2.5.6
- your PHP version = 5.3.26
- if it was a fresh installation of the module, or update. If update, from which module version have you updated. UPGRADE from 2.22
- any debug messages (please turn the Debug on) I need to reload since I reverted back and will updated accordingly.

In my case:

Xoops 2.5.6
Php 5.3.13. (Wampserver 2.2E, 64bits)

Extcal: upgrade from 2.22 to 2.37

I did some research on the print problem mentioned above:

It does happen with items entered in Extcal 2.22; printing works normal with events entered in 2.37

Any ideas ?
