Hello
I just opened a ticket because there is a beug on 2.5.6

When you post a comment and it is valid, it has this message:

Errors
None

I tested with news and publisher

I've installed XOOPS 2.5.5, and then upgraded it to XOOPS 2.5.6, but posting comments for News 1.68 works for me.

PHP 5.4.15

Does anybody else experience similar issue?

I cannot replicate it!

Does anybody else experiences it, especially in the English version, or any non-French versions?

Maybe it is a problem with the French version?

Is it using the standard Comments or the FastComments by Voltan?

Do you have link where we could test it / access it?

Can you do a fresh install of XOOPS 2.5.5 (or whatever version you used as original), and then upgrade it to XOOPS 2.5.6, and test it?

If you can reproduce it, can you email me both versions and the module you've tested it with (I assume it was News), so I can test it locally?

I confirm that there is a beug. A solution was found here

We still need to be able to reproduce it.

As I said before, can you provide me with a version of XOOPS 2.5.5 and XOOPS 2.5.6 where I can reproduce it?

With the standard English versions of XOOPS I cannot reproduce it.

Kavok, can you check in your phpMyAdmin if you have following fields in the table _xoopscomments:

com_user
com_email
com_url

It might be that the upgrade didn't properly add them to the table.

OK, I've checked Kavok's database, and unfortunately the fields are missing.

It seems like something went wrong with the upgrade and these fields have not been created.

@ Kavok
I've added the fields and indexes manually to the database. Could you please copy back the comments.php file from XOOPS 2.5.6 and test if it works?

@ Tatane,
can you check your _xoopscomments table?

If you're also missing the fields, could you please do following:

1) a fresh install of XOOPS 2.5.5
2) Upgrade it to 2.5.6, and check if the fields are available.
3) If not, do again a fresh install of XOOPS 2.5.5
4) Copy all the required files from XOOPS 2.5.6, except the /upgrade folder
5) Copy the /upgrade folder from XOOPS 2.5.7 SVN and see if this time it worked.

If you cannot check out the 2.5.7 /upgrade folder from SVN let me know, and I'll email it to you.
