Hi,

i'm using the great module Xnews but i would like to know how to avoid duplicate content when using SEO option enabled.

Exemple :
my original article title is : My test
the generated SEO url is : mydomaine.com/xNews/article.1/my-test.htm

if i change the URL right after the /article.1/ like this for example :
mydomaine.com/xNews/article.1/anything-will-work.htm

i will always access my original article "my test".

And this is a problem because anybody can modify your URL.
This can create duplicate content if it is posted on a forum, etc...

Any idea how to fix it ?
The idea would be to check if the right title of the article is coming after /article.1/
If not the visitor is redirected to a default page.

And the problem is the same with category path
the right title of the category should come right after the category path.

Thank you.

From the search engines' perspective, a solution to this would be to add a "canonical" meta-tag to the page. That way, no matter what URL brought the visitor to the page, the meta-tag will tell the search engines that the original content resides at the URL you want it under.

For your example, the tag might be:
-------------------------------------------
MailPix - Personalized Gifts
