Since I upgraded to 2.5.3 the xoops_cache directory keeps growing. Xoops is generating a file xoops_3af261d8_page_065580d0-english-3.php very often. The hex value after page_ is the only difference. The contents of this file is a php array that contains the htmlHeadStrings info. In the last 24 hours there are 8200+ files with that name pattern.

What generates this file?

Hi k9keeper,
2.5.3 fixes a bug related with js, css, page title, meta description, etc not being correct when a page is cached. That fix implies caching the headers of each page and results in additional files on xoops_cache folder.

The number of files should stop growing once your pages (that have cache time) are all cached.

For example, if you are caching a news module that have 5000 articles you should expect at least 15000 files created (5000 files for each user group).
