xoops2.4.5-to-2.5.3 upgrade

I just upgraded my site to 2.5.3 and lost my main menu.

I found that system_block_mainmenu.html is missing from modules/system/templates/blocks . I restored it from backup and everything else appears to be working.

Great job on the upgrade. I like the changes to the control panel.

How could it be missing, did you deleted system module dir? What package did you use? The upgrade package or full package?

I used xoops2.4.5-to-2.5.3.zip downloaded today, Oct 8. Using 7zip,

xoops2.4.5-to-2.5.3.zip\xoops2.4.5-to-2.5.3\htdocs\modules\system\templates\blocks\

contains

system_block_comments.html
system_block_login.html
system_block_newusers.html
system_block_notification.html
system_block_search.html
system_block_siteinfo.html
system_block_themes.html
system_block_topusers.html

no main menu

If it is not on the upgrade package is because it was not changed on 2.5.x

The only explanation is that mainmenu block was not present on your 2.4.5 installation.
Maybe you had it on a template set or on a theme or just in the complied form(with check templates for modification off), and did not noticed it was missing on system directory.

Please download the package "xoops2.4.5-to-2.5.3.zip" again. It has been now updated.

The problem was that when I used the WinMerge, I zipped only the files that were different or missing. However, I forget that we recommended you to delete the "/modules/system" completely, i.e. as a result you were missing the files that didn't change in 2.5.x

I am sorry for it, and thank you for letting us know. The update package is now fixed, so if you download it now, you need only to copy the content of /modules/system/ to your installation.
