some modules for xoops are placing their main files in the XOOPS_TRUST_PATH and this is really great!

By the way I have a question - can I place all core functions in this trust path?

WhY? For example I have 4 sites on xoops core on one server. Why not to make 1 core for 4 sites. So when I need some updates - I just can update 1 core but not 4 cores. Of course that 4 sites are not with the same content.

So it will be nice to use 1 core for xxx sites but of course with different DB and uploads folder, cache, themes etc.

Is it possible? THX!

There is a multi-site module from Wishcraft, but it seems like people have problems with using it, and there is no good documentation.

X3 will have multi-site capability built-in, but it's only in Alpha, so it will take some time before it's ready for production sites.

I am wondering if with the multi-site stuff if you can have a shared user db or not? Would be nice to have the option to share users or not to share users...
