Is it possible to change the home page with a module?

Hello,
I wonder if this is possible with xoops to change the entire home page (index.php) (add item, delete item etc..) With a single module or it is mandatory to change the default theme xoops to make such a change

In preferences you can change your homepage to what ever modules you have installed (news, members, cbb, links etc etc)

Is that what you mean ?
