Weird, because RSS feeds are themeless.
Did you test with the default theme?
Are there messages with debug on?

Seems you have a problem with the cache settings. Is this path correct? Did you set the permissions?
(For security reasons you have to rename the xoops_lib and xoops_data folder if they stay inside the root)
