Hi,

I'm planning move my Xoops Site (2.3.3) to another server and then, upgrade to the latest xoops release.

Currently I run xoops in a Ubuntu 8.04 server: fine, without problems so far.

I use the following modules:

-xt_conteudo 1.52
-news 1.63
-Pical 0.93
-xhelp 0.7
-extgallery 1.08

So I installed an Ubuntu 10.04 and then I migrated the Xoops Site.

After the migration all modules are working except xt_conteudo (blank page). I suppose that this is due to the PHP version used in Ubuntu 10.04. Anyway, xt_conteudo is an obsolete module so I'll have to replace it with other module that manages static information as xt_conteudo does. Any suggestion?

As I finished the migration to the new server, the next step is to upgrade Xoops to the latest version. Where should I know if I'll have problems with the other modules I use?

Copy your site to eg a subdirectory and make a copy of your database. Connect the two by adapting the mainfile.
Erase the cache directories and the records in the sessions table,
Check if the copy works. Now you have an independent copy of your site on the server, which can be used to test the upgrade.

The module 'Content' is based on XTContuedo. Version 0.5 works with Xoops 2.3, but not sure about PHP 5. There's a later version which might be more compatible (the version by kerkyra).
