Does anyone know of a webmail module that works with XOOPS 2.3 or later, or how to get one of the old ones to function?

I played around with the ones in the module repository here, but unfortunately couldn't get any of them to work.

It would be good to have a webmail viewer/module for Xoops, especially for intranets.

I'm the original creator of tropical mail (xoops port of iloha mail). I stopped supporting it around the time all these free accounts (gmail, bigger yahoo, etc) started appearing.
My times scarce now (I was supposed to have released a module in November, which I've had to push back 1/2 months) due to a commercial project.

I guess I'm one of the few who needs it.

I played around a bit again with Tropical and got it to work. Unfortunately, my ISP won't let me (i.e. my server at home) send outgoing e-mails from my own server, but has limited them to be sent through their server. This means I have to have a separate setting for outgoing mail server, which I couldn't find. I guess that's not supported?

Isn't there a configuration file or something to set up that?

Could be. I haven't found much in the way of documentation.

I guess I'll have to search the Iloha website.

Or a file named conf... ?
