Hi...

I'm thinking to make one new theme for my site and to give it free when it's finished.

The things that I need to know is:

What's better, to make the theme as a TABLE or DIV based?

I see that todays standards are DIV based themes. Is it really better for SEO etc, is it faster?

Tnx.

I don't think it makes a difference for all that. It is just the more modern way of doing CSS styling things (altough tables have some advantages also) and trying to separate not only content from style, but also from layout.

Wise choice

Tables are not/should not be used to make a page layout, they should serve only the purpose of presenting data!

SEO friendlier? NO...

Faster? NO...

Both questions/answers depend on what you actually display in your tables, divs, p's and whatnot, also both depend on lots of other factors starting with server and ending on user end's screen: connection, browser, browser capabilities. But i won't go further into that :)

It's a standard XOOPS theme.. with one or two columns and central area.. data is inside it. :)
