Publisher and Smartsection on the same installation?

Can I run Publisher and Smartsection side by side on my XOOPS site? Just curious as I know Publisher is a fork of Smartsection.

I am currently running XOOPS 2.0.16 with smartsection working nicely.

If the database, functions, etc is prefixed different from eachoter then there should be no problem.

Check to see how the function names, table names and such things are named.

Hey again,

Just had a look, as I really hadn't looked at this module until now.

The module is 100% independen from smartsection, but is still under development.

I am not sure though if it support XOOPS 2.0.16, but give it a try :)

Sorry, publisher requires 2.3.x and php5 at this moment. This may change until final release.

Publisher has suffered major rewriting, although it is based on smartsection compatibility is not guaranteed.

There is no problem running smartsection and publisher along.
