page_moduleinstaller step in installation produces blank page

everything in the installation went fine until I get to the page_moduleinstaller.php
then is only a blank website, nothing happens...

what am I doing wrong?

Try to go to your frontpage and see if you can get to the admin.php page www.yoursite.com/admin.php and in settings turn debug mode on.

If you cannot get to this page you can enter your phpmyadmin and do a query like this.

UPDATE xoops_config SET conf_value=1 WHERE conf_name = 'debug_mode'

And see if this page generates any errors
