Hi all

For our great developers community:

Has anyone think about a module for that great tool?

They have a huge list of CMS´s, but nothing about XOOPS (even the word XOOPS returns nothing on the foruns):
ndividual.

* vBulletin Plugin
* Drupal Plugin
* Habari Plugin
* Ruby on Rails Woopra Analytics Gem
* Woopra for Magento
* Joomla: There are several Woopra-related free add-ons for Joomla:
o JXDevelopment Woopra Joomla Module
o Woopra Joomla Module by Rocketwerx
o Woopra Joomla Module by Blue Ball Domains
o Richard Gate’s Woopra Joomla Module

TAKE A LOOK

I've written a module. I haven't released it yet because Woopra is still in beta. PM me and I'll send you a copy if you're interested. All I ask is that you give me feedback on the module...

Re: [request] Woopra Module

hello everybody!
I use woopra, finally I have activated the account. But I do not understand the need for a separate module. I put js code directly into preferences -> footer and it works very well. that brings in aseparate module?

urbanspacema,

The module really has 2 simple purposes...

1) To allow the admin to show/hide features of the site inside Woopra. The preferences panel lets the admin select whether to:
- show/hide admin visits
- display users real name or signon name
- show/hide user's email
- show/hide number of posts
- show/hide avatar
- show/hide user's registration date
- show/hide user's rank

2) To enable admins to use a block instead of modifying the theme. The block allows an admin to selectively show the block in certain modules (for example only show visitors to the news module) or to use a block instead of hacking themes.

Initially Woopra required each site to have it's own registration code but fortunately this is no longer required, so it was removed from the module. It's believed that Woopra will extend it's features over time that may be easier to implement in a module than if it has to be hacked into the theme.

The module doesn't do any 'magic' - just makes it easier for admins. Obviously if there's no long term benefit then this module will die a natural death and we'll all move on...

I've found the module makes it easier for me by allowing each of my customers to modify the settings without me having to go tweak the theme for each one of them...

I understood, then it seems interesting.
This module is already available?

I have it 'available'. I consider it in beta and haven't released the module for general use primarily because Woopra is in beta testing.

I can give you a copy for testing if you're interested - just send me a PM with your email.
