Hi all

I´m a bit concerned with this:

I´m trying to make the admin´s mind of a nice prestashop support community till now using only the phpbb forum, to use XOOPS

They already have arouund 1000 registered members and the obvious question is:

Is there an effective way of migration of members, to newbb 3.08, including all login details and forum data?

I´ve found That topic at phpp´s site but it seems a bit old and makes me wonder if someone aroud succeed on that task.

Any advise will be appreciated

You need to look at this as a two-part job:

1. Import users to XOOPS (core)
2. Import phpbb posts to cbb

How to do it? You need to start by comparing the database fields for both systems.....

Try to setup a local server on your PC (eg XAMPP). Install XOOPS and your forum. copy a backup to the databse and you can experiment with the script.

(Other pointers via search)
