I am looking for a module that I can install that will allow me to add pages that have just text.

You could try one of the following:
Edito - http://arma-sa.com/modules/mydownloads/singlefile.php?cid=6&lid=15
pico - http://xoops.peak.ne.jp/md/mydownloads/singlefile.php?lid=96&cid=1 (requires altsys to be installed)
wfchannel - http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=113004 (requires wfresource)
qpages - although I think latest version only supports EXM, not Xoops

Thanks for the suggestions, its taken me a little while to get around to this.

However I seem to be doing something wrong. after I installed edito I go to my control panel and lick on edito - index - create an edito- and all I get is a blank page.

Any suggestions would be great.
