Module administration

I am now on XOOPS 2.3.2b, but I still have an ongoing problem with the Modules Administration page.

The page lists all of the modules I currently have loaded, but it does not list any of the new models that are not yet loaded.

How do I figure out what is crashing the program so it does not show the new files?

Note: I have been using the workaround of just typing in the correct install line. So it does not stop me from installing a new module.

But I would like to fix the problem...

XOOPS is extremely sensitive for problems with not yet installed modules. I believe 2.3.3 wuill be hardened for that.
To know which module is the culprit, can only be found by elimination. Delete the directory of such a module and reload the module manager page in your browser. If the other modules appear, then you got it.
There is no problem to use the direct url for installing.

Okay. Trial and error it is.

I suppose I can relocate the module folders outside of the module directory and then move them back in one at a time. As long as I don't recompile the site, I should be fine.

I did turn on 'debugging' just to see if that would highlight which one it is. Didn't see anything with the smarty templates. With the popup debugging, I find I am getting one warning 35 times.

Ayyyeeee.

Perhaps that was a weee bit overzealous.

The site does NOT funcition without the 'system' module. And the administrator does not work without 'thadmin'...

Also put back in 'multimenu'; 'profile' and 'news'.

That's better.

Hey, the module adminstrator looks NORMAL now. (other than screaming about all of the installed modules that it cannot find)... GRIN

It has a header and footer again, and proper formating. I was just getting the 'Module Adminstrator' on the page.

'xhld0'
'xhld1'
'xhld2'
'xhld3'
'xhld4'
'xhld5'

The last two are not installed and show up on the uninstalled module list!

That is all of the installed (but not necessarily used) modules and we are still working ok.

Ah, there it is:
'iMENU 2.3' is causing the problem.
