I am trying to get an image to appear in a News article. Beside a phone number I want to display an image of a flag 15x12. I've tried png and jpg. All I get in the preview is "Open in new window" which doesn't open.

I also tried an html image link (html is not disabled), and it doesn't show anything.

I uploaded the images onto the server in the news/image directory and in the root/image directory and in all cases gave the complete URL (http:// etc.)

Can someone help me with this? what am I doing wrong?

I had the URL wrong

Still have a problem...

It will not display images side by side regardless of how they are coded. html or XOOPS codes

Remove the <br /> tags in /class/textsanitizer/image/image.php .
If you have problems with the resizing then go to /class/textsanitizer/image/config.php and find
'clickable'     => 1,
'resize'        => 1,

Set both to 0.

Is there a way to remove the borders from some images?

A command in the img link?

borders=0 doesn't work

Try to edit style.css of your theme and set image border to 0.

News 1.63 doesn't have a style.css
