Why do news 1.63 and Oledrion not work properly in 2.3b niehter allow topics or catagories to be changed or added

Something is wrong with your installation. We have here 2.3.2b, and I don't have any problems with adding new topics.

We don't have Oledrion, so I cannot say anything about it.

So what in my installation could cause them not to work
when i get into news topics manager (as webmaster all rights) this is what shows

Topics Manager (1)


Topic Topic Name Parent Topic Sub-menu? Action
1 XOOPS No Edit - Delete


nowhere to add new topic and if i click on edit brings me back to same page

is there a folder(s) that permissions need changed?

hello, I tried to install oledrion on local on XOOPS 2.3 and 2.3.3rc but does not work. my setup is PHP 5.2.6. once installed appears in the modules list but do not see the icon and when I click on the link gives me an error page.

Internal server error....

I went through all my install info can't find mistake. I now installed Ams (article module) and this module when I try to submit article takes me to a plain white page

That three diferant modules that will not work in the article or catagories area. Anyone have any ideas where to look to find problem?

It might be a problem with the editor. Do you use a standard XOOPS editor, or did you make changes in the Module Preferences for the "Form Option"?
If you did, try to change it back to DHTML

I had set for dhtml that was not working tried default XOOPS editor and tiny mce same results with all I just noticed I'm running XOOPS 2.3.2 not 2.3.2b would this make any differance?

I just installed Oledrion on my WAMP server on XOOPS 2.3.3RC, and had the same situation. I took a look into Apache error log, and it showed:

S:/wamp/www/xoops233rc1/modules/oledrion/.htaccess: Invalid command 'RewriteEngine', perhaps mis-spelled or defined by a module not included in the server configuration

Once I enabled Module_rewrite in Apache (for WAMP see here), Oledrion works fine, so far

I think, the only conflicts I've experienced was with the wrong editor, and a wrong theme. What theme do you use? Try with Zetagenesis, if you have a different one currently.

Otherwise, you might check if all files are correctly uploaded.

BTW - you're using News 1.63, right?
