Is there a way for XOOPS to send an alert when there is a message in the inbox or to the forum moderator when there is a new post in a particular forum.

In cbb it is possible to get notifications for new posts in particular forums. I do not know this for other XOOPS forums.

Notifying about pm's is not possible as far as I know. There are some hacks but I don't know of a solution for XOOPS 2.3.x .
