K-shop dropdown menu country names.

Goodday xoopsers. i am almost done with my website. just some translation and thingies going on. i've translated almost everything but i can't find how to change the country names. i want per example Netherlands as Nederland. United States as Verenigde Staten. But i can't find how to do that. Can somebody please explain to me. i used the search option but nothing about changing country names (most users are speaking english here so i don't think they mind that the country names are in english) i also searched the Faq and information about the module. can't find anything. also searched through the language files. didn't find anything.

hope someone can help me.

Hi,

I checked the 2.22 version - I think they are build in the database - sql/mysql.sql file. You may edit this file before installing the module or edit the database usin your server control panel. It is in "kshop_country" table...

it's already installed. with all information just right on the page. i use 2.23

i tried to change it and then upload it (i kept the old file in a different folder)
it didn't change

This will not work. You may try to update the module, but I'm not shure that will work - probably not. You have the option to uninstall and install again OR edit the values in database with something like PHPMyAdmin or similar tool...

i tried the update. didn't work. uninstall and install again isn't an option. and how can i edit the values?

As Stefan88 already pointed out: they are in the kshop_country table and you have to use phpmyadmin or a similar tool to edit/update the values in the database!

But in WHICH WAY do i need to updat or edit the values.? i'm not good in webdesignin i'm an beginner. you don't have to yell at me

Hi,

look at your hosting control panel - most have some tool to edit database and the most common is PHPMyAdmin.

For PHPMyAdmin when you select it you may be asked to enter username and password for database access or you may be logged automaticaly. Then you need to select your XOOPS database from the dropdown menu and you will see a list of all tables in that database. Select the kshop_country table and you should see the structure of the table. Find and click the "Browse" button and you will see the values for each record like in spreadsheet table. There should be a small pencill like icon - click it and you will be able to edit the values for that record...

i ha ve php admin i can go there from my XOOPS website as a module. when i try to browse there i get a 404 error
