hi, and thanks in advance for your help.
i do not want any notification options anywhere on one of my XOOPS sites. i dont mean just turn them off i mean go maybe into the core and get rid of them altogether.

or if i have to go into each module where is the file usually at where would i be able to do this and what code do i look for, thanks for the best CMS!

Welcome to the XOOPS Forum!

Notifications are a feature of XOOPS, so it's not so easy to eliminate them in the core.
But all (or most) modules have a switch in their preferences to switch notifications off.
In other cases you can edit the templates.

Yep - it's not a simple task as those mosules which allow notifications will have templates with the check-boxes, etc.

As Ghia says, easiest to turn them off in the individual modules. Reversible, too, at a future date.
