Hi,

Try deleting the cache:

1. delete all files except index.html in templates_c folder. See if site works.
2. delete all files except index.html in cache folder. See if site works.

Are there any upgrades from your hosting provider? PHP, MySQL ... Moving to PHP5 may cause problems with some old modules.

Do you have some hosting control pannel with PHPMyAdmin?

Probably somebody change a PHP Version on your Server without telling you.

I addition to what Stefan already told you, check also the FAQ:

Re: home page is empty

it seems they has upgrade php version - I can see "PHP version 5.2.5 " in Cpanel home page of my site.

I will check on FAQ, and hopefully I can get a result for me.

hi

in my case, how to fix it - I deleted all files in 2 folder and it is not working.

Do you need to upgrade to Xoop 2.x

(you can see my cpanel home page at: http://i328.photobucket.com/albums/l322/solution-accpac/cpanel-home.jpg)

It always makes sense to update to the latest versions, as they are the most secure. What version do you have now?

But your problem is probably with the modules. So once you login, deactivate all modules and see if it works. If it does, try to install one by one, and see if the homepage is OK. If it becomes blank, then that's the module which is causing it, and you would have to make sure that you either download the latest version that hopefully is PHP5 compatible, or you'll have to fix the module yourself.

BTW - there could be more than 1 module that is not PHP5 compatible, and causing problems.

I cannot remember what is version exactly, but it is about 1.1.0.3.

In my case - how to logon as admin?

Thanks in advance

Hi,

in XOOPS 2.x you can check version in include/version.p h p. Maybe in 1.x too...

First, before doing anything, better do a full backup of database and files.

/user.p h p is not rendering too, so you will not be able to enter. You may try to enable PHPDebug mude by entering the value in database. It is described in the link by Mamba.

I never upgraded a site from XOOPS 1.x (and never had one too, so I have no experience with that). If possible it will be a multistep process, as the latest XOOPS can upgrade from 2.0.7.x and newer. If you go this way, do a backup after every successful step.

You may check your provider - if they upgraded their PHP version recently, they may kept an option to use PHP4. With my provider I can set this in htaccess file, but this will vary with providers and may not be possible.
