Hi. I am a newbie to this. I tried to set up Xoop but when I tried to open it in my web browser, all I got was "XOOPS root path not defined". What file or files do I need to edit as it really didnt seem clear to me. I downloaded version 2.9 and have never used the script before. Thanks in advance.

At the root of your site, there is a file called mainfile.php.
What can you read on this line ?
define('XOOPS_ROOT_PATH', ... );


PS : If you are talking of XOOPS 2.0.9 then you should seriously think to use the latest version instead.
