is there a XOOPS download which contains some items like some of the modules and items so i dont have to search around for them?

or

do i just download XOOPS latest package and then poke around for modules and let them rip?

JamesSAEP used to maintain a site that had some module bundles included with a 'modified' core, but his site is no longer available.

Simon (MadFish) has begun an Essential Modules document that Darcy links to above.

The Starting a New XOOPS Site series describes getting started and some other essentials before getting a lot of other modules.

There is also a thread about other users 'essential' modules - and like Northern says, if you have a specific feature you want for your site, let us know and we can point at some good modules for what you want

CBB 4.0 is only for testing at this moment, there has been quite a few bugs/issues found. But CBB 3.08 should work fine

I haate to admit this but I still cannot find cbb 3.08. Can you give me the direct link??? That was what I was looking for when I came up with the CBB 4.0 stuff. I even went to xoopswiki and that is just documentation. Once I get it now I know where to put it where ~I~ can find it again.
