Website uptime monitoring service is there a xoops module or what do you use?

I have been getting reports about a website being down a lot.
Does XOOPS have a module that will monitor website uptime?

If not what do you use to make sure you website doesn't have any down time?

We use a custom program we wrote. We run it on multiple computers located globally so it gives us a good idea of whether it's our server or a 'routing' problem.

We have a couple of customers that use SiteUpTime. They have various packages available - even the free one's pretty good for most, non-ecommerce sites.

Dunno about that XOOPS module, but we use a monitoring server with cacti which polls every 5 minutes if the server is up and running (it also monitors the apache and MySQL loads, disk space and alot more via snmp)

The downside is that you'll have to get a second server which performs those tasks.

If you are having problems setting it up from scratch, there is a linux distribution which not only beholds Cacti but also alot of other networking tools.
