[bad boy] Excuse me

Excuse me for being a bad boy but ... we take the same boys and .... we do it again ?
Mister A told to Mister B he is a good boy and Mister B told to mister A that he is a good boy too.
Where is the real change ?

I give my voice to mboyden who did not received any "good boy" from anybody :

edit: I have no say in how the core devs will be picked other than my vote, so I will not comment on that point.

I can only comment on the work of those who I have worked with. Those who I have not worked with, I will not comment on. So, if you are referring to any of my posts commending a choice for a position, it is because I am familiar with their work and am glad to see them step up to the plate.

I am not familiar with mboyden's work; therefore, I have no comment other than, "Thank you for stepping up!"

IMHO everybody have a backgroud to explain abilities and trustworthy
voting from others show the team work is in the case too. at the end everybody in a team should work with other team members so they should vote for each other.

Yes, yes please !!! Terrible things have happened in the past, and surely most of which I did not even heard (not being an active member of the forums here for many months). But we need to look ahead of us. The future of XOOPS is in our hands. We need to cease the opportunity and make it !

And we absolutely definatly undeniably need to leave our bad memories outside. Let's focus on the good things we can do. Let's leave our old wars behind.

I know that together, we have the strength to build greatness ! Let's stop fighting each others and do it for a change !!!

Cheers !

I will not like to be in DJ's position, can he refuse any offer who received "votes" ??
Isn't it a way to force him ...
Is it objective ?

Marcan, we made it in the past :

As a non-developer myself, I can recognize clean code, that works, but I do not know enough PHP to determine if an application is written optimally.

That being said, I would hope that that final say of who gets to write code for the core is put to the acid test of peer review and therefore is objective.

Popularity contests are for beauty pageants. Personally, I want the best of the best writing the code. I think we can all agree on that.

Sorry Herve, too long article and too many comments, not sure what you meant.

But in any cases, XOOPS history has known many downs, many ups, many wars, even terrorist attacks . But we remain. And maybe this time is still not he good one, but what have we to loose !

Anyway, I forced myself not participate in those discussions as I really think they do not add anything good so I won't say anything else regarding this.

phppp has my full support, as well as anyone who wants to help in any aspects of this project, should I know him/her of not, does not matter. Only thing needed is good faith. The rest shall come !

Cheers !

Mithrandir is currently looking for experienced programmers to help with the 2.2 release and future versions who can dedicate some time into the project. Phppp, Marcan, & Hervet have also joined the XOOPS Core Development Team which is good news and I’m sure their experience, skills and dedication will make XOOPS a far better system than it already is. It is also very good news to hear that Catzwolf aka John_N has returned to XOOPS as a Core Development Member. For a more technical explanation of what is going on, please read Skalpa's draft reference for the X2.2 core, posted on the SourceForge.net project forums.

You had your "XOOPS Core Developer" rank this day

What I'm trying to say is that I can't see how the same mistakes will not be done, again, when "we" are playing the same "game" again with the same players

yes the team leader should chose members (to work with who) confidentially and independent.(i hope it should be so)

in the other side its an open community and everybody (mostly in the team) can show his agreement or disagreement to work with other members.for example noone can force me to work with somebody i dont like to work even if each and everyone vote for him as the best person for the position.

So I'm going to call all my friends and ask them to vote for me
