"First Time In Admin - Press Button" but no button!?!?

New installation of XOOPS with the latest version (or even an older one) - everything loads smoothly .. site opens - no problems. But when i go to the admin section I get the standard: "This is your first time to enter the administration section. Press the button below to proceed." message but there is NO button. I've checked permissions, deleted & re-installed so many times - even deleted the database an created a new one.

Still nothing.

HELP HELP!!!

that's pretty strange. i just downloaded and installed the latest stable version yesterday (i needed a 'testing' site) and it worked flawlessly.

1. provide all information such as hosting environment, lamp, wamp, whatever...

2. what browser are you using? ie, firefox, opera... what os?

i personally have installed in several different ways with different os'es (winblows & linux) and with many different browsers and have not had the situation you speak of. try it again from _scratch_ and let us know what happens with all the details.

The problem had happened to me also in Firefox version 2.0.0.3 both in Windows XP and Linux.

Try to reupload /class/ folder again

that would fix the problem

running latest version of XOOPS now 2.0.17.1 MS IE 7.0 using coffecup ftp to upload.

I've tried re-installing the class folder like shazer7 suggested but it didn't do anything.

Oh - and i did try loading it in FireFox - still nothing.

First thing to check:

Make sure that the following directories are set to CHMOD 777:

/cache
/templates_c
/uploads

Please can you check this (particularly the /cache folder) and report back?
