Hi everyone,

I am working on a music downloads site (MP3s), where the WFDownloads module is handling the downloading function. Everything is great there. What I want to know however, is how I can "automatically" offer a short preview of each mp3 file that has been uploaded...so, an ability for site users to click a preview button that is automatically linked to something that only plays the first 30 seconds or so of each track.

I am interested in all ways that this could be done, not necessarily XOOPS related.

Right now, the only way I know how to do this is completely manual...i.e., every time someone uploads a new track, I would have to ftp in, download that track, make a sample clip, then upload the sample clip and link it to a preview button on the track info page. This is totally doable, but not practical on a large scale.

All ideas are appreciated...
