Out of all the XOOPS forum modules available, which one is this one we are typing on right now.

One thing about this XOOPS site, there isn't the text on the bottom of the modules telling you which module it is or version.

Thanks!

This is a modified version of Newbb 2.0.2

If you're starting from scratch, go for CBB 3.08 (plus xoopseditors and Frameworks) which are available from the Dev Forge - CBB 3.08 is the latest incarnation of newbb.

There are other Forum modules, too, so have a quick search.

Thanks for the reply...being new to XOOPS I've been trying to follow the "2.0.13 vs. 2.2.4" stuff and attempting to figure out where the best place to start is.

This forum doesn't look like the sample 3.05 on the xforge site, so that's why I asked.

Off to download

Xoops 2.0.16 is the current favoured release and CBB 3.08 works great with this version.

You will need to download the latest Frameworks and xoopseditors.

Frameworks should go into the website's root directory, xoopseditors in the /class directory and CBB (actually a directory call "newbb")in the modules directory, i.e.

website root/Frameworks
website root/class/xoopseditor
website root/modules/newbb

Thanks again John...uploading that right now.

Surfing through the modules, many times the text doesn't explain what they are. So some of them might be great, but since you don't know what it does I roll right by it.

I rolled through tinyeditor (I think) for example, and it explained all the changes made to the release but it didn't say why it existed.

Looking forward to replacing an old Nuke site with XOOPS
