Hi.
I use the module news 1.41 (i'll upgrade soon to 1.50)
It would be really useful to me to have the ability to post a news to more than one categories.
How can i modify the module for that???
Or does an hack already exist?

Article has multi category feature.
try to import your news to this module.
there is an import script in the project

i downloaded but can't install it!
when i try to install it gives me a blank page

any other script that has the crossposting feature?
or isn't there any hack for news?

please read the release note for "Article"

this module needs "frameworks" and "xoopseditor" installed separately

i followed instructions carefully

i installed frameworks and xoopseditor

but when i try to install article i get a blank page and the module is not installed
...

ok now i installed it
but when i go to the admin of the module and click article in the module menu i get blank page

maybe it's because i use 2.2.2?
instruction say:

Extra steps for XOOPS 2.2 users before install or update:
1 Copy compiler.includeq.php and compiler.foreachq.php from XOOPS 2.015 /class/smarty/xoops_plugins/ to XOOPS 2.2 /class/smarty/
2 Copy (and overwrite) xoops.js from XOOPS 2.015 /include/ to XOOPS 2.2 /incldue


but where do i find this 2.015 scripts???

i think there's some problems in 2.2.2

anyway for any blank page please turn on phpdebug

ok i took the files from 2.0.15 but the result is always blank page...

ah when i install article i get this error message:

ERROR: Could not insert config do_urw to the database.
...

do you upload those files from 2.0.15 correctly?

after that it seems you have problems with templates. you can clear all templates from templates_c folder to see if it solve your problem.


about the install problem i dont have any idea just try to review instructions.
