Xoops 2.016 update + news 1.5

Hello!

I upgrade one site that was still using XOOPS 2.06 to 2.016...
I guess it ran smoothly because many modules work properly there...

but after I update news to the latest 1.5 version, I got blank screen for the main site, except for the admin area...

In the admin area I can access the main index file for news but I can't edit or view any news articles... I just can see them listed...

when I click trying to edit/view I get a blank screen and the following message as title for the page --> "Ativate Dublin Core Metadata".

After I enabled debugging but no errors are shown

Can anyone help me on this?

have you setting correctly the three permissions' level in this module ?

yes... I defined all the permissions...

and I forgot to mention... when I try to edit the preferences I get a blank page too...

After upgrated news to 1.50, have you updated the module in admin system, modules ?

yes... in fact this is an obvious issue...

I followed all the information explained in the upgrade.txt file included...

@hervet...

I have already done that before posting... I've tested all possibile debug options... and even doing that I can't get any error messages shown... Now I can't even access the site at all...

I've already done over 30 XOOPS sites and the basic steps for debugging are clear for me...

any other suggestions?

check for any uploads issue.
also provide us more information about:
php version
mysql version
apache version
all modules that you installed.

Really, you must have a corrupted file.
Completly remove the module's files then re upload it.

If you have recently updated Xoops, may be you have, too, a corrupted file.

well...

I reuploaded files and things kept the same... this was strange... but after getting in touch with the provider he send me the log description for the server...

there was a fatal error regarding Marquee 2.41...
now I just edited one of the marquee files and the site got back online...

not sure now if its an incompatibility issue of XOOPS 2.016 or with news 1.5...

thanks for all for trying to help...

this issue is solved so far

but I still can't access to the preferences for the news module
